I went to Bowling Green today to shop and search. Tried out 3 cars...Aveo - a little 4 wheeler with a body around it - mpg but not big enough to pass 18 wheelers safely in a windstorm-- seen both recently, and it is Chevy but made in Korea. Cruise - made in USA but only 6 inches off the ground, will not make it down the haul road on a rainy day and squared off front end is clearly not aero dynamic..so who thought of that? Impala - nice ride for a car, but still too low to the ground - 6 inch clearance from the concrete, never met a pothole it would not fall into - gravel or blacktop...oh, well, guess there are some streets somewhere without any weather damage. Where is that?
On the book side went to 2 Christian book stores and Barnes and Noble. Nothing available right now covering the subject for my book so it is a good opening to get busy and get it published. Need to make time to work on it soon. Taxes, BSMA, BPW and Library conference all coming in three weeks - gotta hustle. Still need to read, so I downloaded Kindle app on iPad tonight Susan Elisabeth Phillips new Call me Irresistible for a joyful break from task land. Spied a couple of quotable texts at B& N - American Patriot Handbook, has lots of leads, good quotes to follow to find fodder for my book.
Just a pleasure to browse in the bookstore and hold the books though. Wonder what 20 years will bring?
